Pipedream Signs Cindy Crawford to Exclusive Contract

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Toy and novelty maker Pipedream has signed adult starlet Cindy Crawford as its newest spokesperson.

As part of the five-year agreement, Crawford will help develop, market and promote her own branded line of products, The Cindy Crawford Collection.

“The quality of the products and the materials they are comprised of is exactly why I chose to sign with Pipedream,” Crawford said. “Exclusive and selective in their ideas, my line will evolve from advanced technology, feature premium packaging and broad media, advertising and marketing campaigns.”

Specific items have not yet been determined for The Cindy Crawford Collection, but will revolve around elements of Crawford’s career. Crawford has appeared in numerous men’s magazines but has been selective about her adult film work since entering the business in 2002.

KSEX Radio host Wankus told XBiz that representatives for mainstream supermodel Cindy Crawford recently contacted the adult star to dispute her use of the same name with the same spelling. However, Crawford was able to prove that it is — and always has been — her legal name. While representatives for the mainstream Crawford may not like the coincidence, there is nothing they can do about it.

“To have such a world renowned name join the Pipedream galaxy of stars is very exciting,” COO Nick Orlandino said, adding that the line will be unveiled in January at the 2006 Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas.

Following the launch, Crawford is scheduled to make several in-store appearances throughout the United States, and a national media tour is currently being booked.

Crawford said she also is seeking a performing contract with an adult film studio.
